Assisted suicide

This news is getting on a bit now, but I still wanted to mark it here.

Study finds no evidence to justify concern about the potential for abuse in physician-assisted suicide.

The concerns people raise don't turn out to be a problem in places where physician-assisted death is legal.

I'm involved in disability activism, and am very concerned about the impact euthanasia is having on disabled people. A report on the people who died with the help of Jack Kevorkian in the USA, show that they were mostly disabled women. 75% of them did not have a terminal illness.

There is a good summary of the disability activists views on this issue here.
